What ID does the signer need?
Current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, state ID). We confirm the exact requirements for your document when you book β before we travel, so there are no wasted visits.
Can you notarize at a hospital or nursing home?
Yes β it's our specialty. We coordinate timing with the family and, where helpful, the facility. The signer must be awake, willing, and able to communicate their understanding; if there's any question about that, we'll talk it through honestly before booking.
What can't a notary do?
We don't give legal advice, draft documents, or tell you what to sign β that's attorney work, and we're glad to suggest you speak with one. And plainly, because it matters in our communities: a notary is not a "notario" β we cannot advise on immigration forms or cases. We'll always point you to qualified, licensed help instead.
How does online notarization work?
You'll receive a secure video link. Your ID is verified electronically, we witness your signature on camera, and the electronic seal is applied β legally valid, recorded, and journaled per New York's remote notarization rules. Most sessions take under 15 minutes.
Why is the fee more than $2?
New York caps the notarial act fee at $2 ($25 for electronic acts) β and we charge exactly that for the act itself. The flat prices you see include the separate, unregulated travel & convenience fee that mobile service requires, disclosed and agreed before every booking. You'll never be surprised at the door.
